What does the potential error message mean when uploading a proposal?

Agencies are asking Stations and Sellers to help them in their effort to enhance the media buying workflow. To avoid scheduling mistakes, reduce time needed to build a schedule and to make sure Buyers consider all the available inventory, Agencies have put in place the below flags when uploading a proposal XML. These flags help you identify missed opportunities and potential mistakes.

Don’t panic! Potential errors are flagged but you can continue with the upload as some may be intentional.

Potential errors flagged and what they mean:

  • Duplicate Avails: your XML has more than one avail that occurs at the same time. This may have been intentional, for example with Sports or if exact flight schedule is unknown. Submitting overlapping programming can result in a missed opportunity or makegood down the line.

  • Wrong Demo: if your XML includes avails for a demo that is different from the campaign’s primary demo your ratings projections will show up as 0.0 to the buyer

  • Incorrect Metric: if your XML includes avails for a metric (impressions vs. ratings) that is different from the campaign’s your ratings projections will show up as 0.0 to the buyer

  • Incorrect Dates: At least some dates in your proposal do not match the flight dates of this campaign. Avails submitted outside the campaign flight dates may not be visible to the buyer for review

  • Missing Dayparts did you mean not to include avails for all dayparts?

  • Unrequested Stations: avails for requested stations upload successfully. If you want to add stations - make a note to the buyer

  • Wrong Spot Length: This is a 15s campaign and you have submitted 30s spot length
